Phobia Project
1. A phobia is a fear of an object or a situation that which one try desperately to avoid. It is an ape of anxiety and sometimes considered irrational.
2. One phobia is Algophobia in which one is afraid of pain. Another common phobia is Acrophobia, a fear of heights, common in a lot of people. Phronemophobia is the fear of thinking. Also, Blennophobia is where one is afraid of slime. The fear of being touched is called Chiruptophobia.
3. Since phobias are related to fear the photos can possibly be darker. I want to do Achulophobia which is fear of the dark. For fear of the dark I could get one of my friends to pose with half of their face in the shade or looking towards a dark place. The model could appear depressed and/or traumatized to be there. Another phobia I could possibly do is Crystallophobia which is the fear of glass or crystals. I could take photos of broken glass or someone trapped behind a pane of glass. I could also do a photo of someones reflection in a piece of broken glass. Atelophobia is the fear of imperfections so I could take photos of makeup or someone applying makeup since it is related to covering up 'imperfections'. I could also do someone or multiple people with their face in their hands trying to cover themselves up.
4. For the fear of darkness I could make the photo appear dark in places and set an overall dark mood with the lighting. For the fear of glass the picture could have the person in a dark mood with something like a tear rolling down their face. The fear of imperfections could be more candid since many people use makeup everyday.
