1. The man in the subway tracks was reportedly pushed into the tracks by a harassing panhandler. The man, Ki Suk Han, who was 58, was trying to calm down the harasser before being pushed in moments before the oncoming train. The photographer said that he was trying to warm the train operator to stop with the flash from his camera after he realized he wasn't able to save Han. 2. The photographer, R. Umar Abbasi, a freelance photographer, said he took the photo in order to use the flash to warn the operator to stop because he was unable to rescue Han himself. 3. I don't think that the photo should have been taken because the man was in a life or death situation. 4. I also think that the photographer should have been helping the man get up instead of backing up and using the flash. he should have been using all he had to save that man even if he were to fail.
